Mulund blast Case: Convicts Bail Plea to be heard on May 5 by Bombay High Court

On Thursday two convicts of 2002-03 Mulund / Mumbai blast case namely Atif Mulla and Hasib Mulla filled appeals against the sentence of 10 years imprisonment awarded to them by Special POTA court in the Bombay High court. They also filed bail applications.

Bombay High Court admitted the bail pleas of the convicts for hearing on May 5th and issued notices which are returnable in two weeks to the Government of Maharashtra and others.

Atif Mulla’s lawyer Mubin Solkar has pleaded that his client was the first one to get bail among all the 10 accused and ever since he is out on bail so he should be granted bail. While Sudip Pasbola, lawyer of Hasib Mulla argued that his client has already completed eight years of the sentence awarded to him. Collectively, they both pleaded that the convicts has been exonerated of charges of conspiracy, and had been held guilty solely on the charge of arms possessions.
