Freya Crichton

International/National Intern

My name is Freya Crichton and I am a British student having spent the most part of my life living in France. I am currently studying at the University of Grenoble-Alpes which is close to the French-Swiss border. I am following a double diploma that covers both law and applied foreign languages which will amount to two separate degrees upon graduation. Inside this course, students have a choice as to which branch of law – public or private – they would prefer to major in. This also applies for the languages as to which two to study, English being compulsory. The language course is fascinating to explore alongside law as it is catered for our specific class, giving us the opportunity to learn more about political, economical and social issues concerning the countries that speak the language we’re learning. For example, studying Spanish myself, I have acquired great knowledge about Latin-America and Spain’s culture and history from pre-Colombian times to today’s challenges. My particular course is fairly selective as it is open to only 30 new students per year. I specialize in Administrative Law and International Policy; prime subjects that are established in parallel with others that cover other branches such as civil and criminal law.

Studying at university is free in France which permits students to have greater financial leeway when it comes to travelling which is an essential part of my course that constantly encourages students to practice internationally. I endeavor to learn as much as I can about International Relations and the entire psychology that underlines our world’s legal machine. I am therefore so grateful to now be associated to Mrs. Vinakshi Kadan and Sir. Kaviraj Singh at Indian National Bar Association in New Delhi who have guided my first steps into their professional world in beautiful India.
