China 70th National Day Parade: No force can shake the status of a great nation.
Every year on 1st October china celebrates the National day of the People’s Republic of China. The people’s Republic of China was founded on October 1st, 1949 by then leader Mao Zedong following a civil war. On 1st October 2019 china celebrated its 70th anniversary. The celebration was done with a powerful parade by showcasing powerful weapons and strong economic growth.
Background
On October 1st, 1949 the leader of the Chinese Communist Party Mao Zedong declared the creation of the People’s Republic of China. This announcement ended the civil war between the Chinese communist party and the nationalist party. The founding of the People’s Republic of china marked a victory to the people’s efforts that were initiated by the Chinese revolution of 1911. The creation of china to communism in 1949 led the United States to suspend diplomatic ties with the People’s Republic of China for decades. Coming back to the 70th anniversary celebrated by china on Tuesday started with a Military honor guard carrying the National flag of China through Tiananmen Square. A salute was also given by firing artillery guns.
President Xi Jinping with former President Hu Jintas and Jiang Zemin, he was also accompanied by different other leaders and diplomats of the People’s Republic of China. All the eminent personalities including the President witnessed this parade from Gate of Heavenly Peace.
In the International arena, an issue of china’s dominance was made the topic of concern. The concern was of interference of Chinese administration in the working and functioning of Hong Kong’s administration. After the parade, a prominent promise was made by President Xi Jinping in which he said that he makes sure that Hong Kong will manage its own affairs and there will be no intervention by the Chinese government and administration.
In the parade, the military showed the most capable front as the parade included around 15000 troops, 160 aircraft, trucks carrying weapons including a nuclear capable missile, fighter jets, and many more things. The Chinese army is also known as the People’s Liberation Army is the world’s biggest military with around 2 million men and women. Some new weapons were also showcased in the parade that includes Dongfeng – 17 a nuclear capable glider designed to evade anti-missile defense. One more powerful missile was displayed, Dongfeng – 41, it is very much powerful as it has a range upto 15,000 KMs. It also has the caliber to carry 10 warheads to hit on different targets.
Though at the front People’s Republic of China is looking strong the reality is way more opposite. Internationally China is facing backlashes as it is having a trade war with the United States, secondly a huge protest and opposition is being made in Hong Kong for Chinese interference and then China’s economy, though it looked satisfying the reality is economic growth of china is dipping and the main cause of it is the trade war with the United States. Though china has evolved into one of the strongest countries in the world. It has attained so much in 70 years that they are on the levels to compete with world leaders like America and Russia.
